IN CONJUNCTION with World Peace Day, the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam (PPPBD) yesterday hosted a thanksgiving ceremony at the PPPBD Headquarters in Anggerek Desa.
Attending the event were Life Vice-President of PPPBD Datin Paduka Hajah Jusnani binti Haji Lawie, assistant chief commissioners, commissioners and PPPBD members.
The event opened with mass Maghrib prayer and the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Ratib Al-Attas led by led by PPPBD Spiritual Commissioner Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Abdul Ghani.
Themed ‘Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace,’ this year’s celebration will continue with other activities to be held on September 25.
