THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) held a Doa Selamat yesterday for Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Wan Firdaus bin Haji Md Aminuddin, who will be joining the 13th International Monitoring Team (IMT) in Mindanao, Philippines as part of Brunei Darussalam contingent.
Present as the guest of honour at the event was Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam. Other top level police officers were also in attendance.
The ceremony commenced with Sunnat Hajat prayer, and followed with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and selected chapters of the Al-Quran, a special Doa Selamat. It ended with the ‘Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.’ A mass Asar prayer was later held.
Speaking to the Bulletin, ASP Wan Firdaus bin Haji Md Aminuddin expressed hopes to establish good rapport with other IMT contingents, and to be able to execute his peacekeeping duties as best as possible while in Mindanao.

He is expected to be with the IMT for a year.
Brunei Darussalam has sent its uniformed personnel to IMT for several years as the Sultanate continues to commit in providing assistance towards peace and stability in the region.
