JOBSEEKERS who have yet to find permanent employment can look at the option of joining the Youth Development Centre to acquire specific technical skills, improve self-discipline and be independent to boost their prospects of finding a job.

LLyas bin Abdul Wahab, who received the Overall Best Trainee Award in Youth Development Programme at a certificate presentation ceremony yesterday said, “Instead of waiting at home, jobseekers have the option to acquire skills to boost their employability. By joining the Youth Development Centre, an individual can acquire new skills and become independent.” He completed the centre’s Domestic Water Plumping Course.

Awang LLyas who also won the Best Trainee Award in the Self-Development Programme said the key to his success is work hard and support from teachers and family.

“I am really happy to receive the recognition. It really motivated myself to work hard and I hope to increase my skills in the electrical field,” added the 29-year-old who is currently working in a private company.
