A CEREMONY was yesterday held at the Pekan Bangar Community Hall Complex to allow for the distribution of Korban meat from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud and his wife were guests of honour at the event, while other attendees included Assistant Temburong District Officer Mohd Amir Hairil bin Haji Mahmud, Acting Chief Religious Officer of Temburong branch, Mukim Penghulus, village heads, work committee members and Korban meat recipients.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Kamarulzaman bin Kamis and was followed by mass Takbir recitation.
The deputy minister later presented the Korban meat to 43 male recipients, while his wife presented the Korban meat to the 15 female recipients.
