THE Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and departments under it yesterday marked Hari Raya Aidiladha with a Korban ceremony.
This year’s ceremony was organised by the Immigration and National Registration Department and held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Immigration and National Registration Department Headquarters.
Attending as the guest of honour was Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs.
The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat by Haji Halidi bin Haji Ahmad, Senior Immigration Officer.
This was followed with the distribution of Korban meat to 30 recipients. A total of five buffaloes were sacrificed for the ministry’s Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration this year.
