On this matter Hajah Salma said, “It is the beginning of a business partnership with the mission of upgrading accounting skills amongst MSMEs and the local workforce. By qualifying with UK-Based computerised bookkeeping certificates, even secondary school leavers will have the opportunity to apply for assistant accountant positions in MSME companies.”
Malcolm Trotter added on this saying, “There seems to be a big gap between the skills of those in the workforce and the skills actually needed for business that needs to be successful. Whether you are looking to improve your skills, whether you are a business owner looking for people with the right skills, having bookkeeping and accounting skills is really useful and valuable. Bookkeeping skills today are in very high demand.” Bookkeeping skills today are in very high demand.”
With this first step, BAG Networks hopes to create similar collaborations with other educational institutions and reach out to more local MSMEs in the future.
