THE Ministry of Defence (MinDef) yesterday distributed sacrificial meat comprising nine buffaloes and 12 goats to its civilian staff, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel and underprivileged individuals living in the vicinity of the Bolkiah Garrison in its annual ceremony in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration.
Present to distribute the sacrificial meat to recipients were First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, the Deputy Minister of Defence; Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, the Commander of the RBAF; and Datin Paduka Hajah Suriyah binti Haji Umar, the Permanent Secretary at the MinDef.
Also in attendance were the military and civilian directors at the Ministry of Defence, Penghulu of Mukim Berakas and village heads as well as the residents in the Bolkiah Garrison area.
