IN CONJUNCTION with the recent celebration of Hari Raya Aidiladha, the Department of Councils of State (JMM) in collaboration with the Welfare and Sports Society yesterday held a Korban meat distribution ceremony on its premises.
Present as the guest of honour at the event was the Speaker of the Legislative Council, YB Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib. Also present was the Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar.
The ceremony began with the Takbir Hari Raya followed with the distribution of Korban meat to the recipients from the guest of honour. A Doa Selamat was later recited to mark the end of the ceremony.
Two buffaloes were slaughtered for the JMM’s Aidiladha celebration this year.
