LOCAL Mercedes Benz enthusiasts met at Jerudong Park Playground for the inaugural Benzer Brunei gathering yesterday.
More than 20 proud Mercedes Benz owners showed up for the small event initiated by a couple of the owners with the purpose of forging relations and share stories with fellow owners, as such events are rarely organised.
Mohd Dazly bin Haji Mohd Daud, current President of Benzer Brunei and Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Daud, the founder of the club express their appreciation to those who attended the gathering.
According to the president, the group was created through social media and was inspired by recent Mercedes Benz gatherings held in neighbouring countries Malaysia and Indonesia.

Currently, Benzer Brunei has a pending application at the Registrar of Society (ROS). Once approved, more gatherings involving charity or national events will be held.
Among the models at the gathering include the rare 1976 E250 (Tiger), brought to life by Abdul Aziz himself and the iconic AMG models.
Official car stickers of Benzer Brunei were also distributed to all owners at the gathering.
