KIGS students return from GC programme

THE Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) students who took part in the Global Classroom (GC) programme held in Cyberjaya, Kuala Lumpur since September 18, have returned over the weekend and were welcomed at the Brunei International Airport by Sonny Jumpo, Head of Academic and Dr Malai Yunus Malai Yusof, Head of Faculty Arts and Humanities.

Also present were Gwen, Head of Faculty in Business; Siti Nosyroh, Assistant Head of Information Technology; and lecturers of KIGS as well as parents and guardians of the students.

The delegation led by Haji Hasnul bin Hamdani, KIGS Head of Multimedia and Broadcasting, was welcomed home with the recitation of Doa.

Haji Hasnul expressed gratitude for achieving the objective of the programme which was having the students collaborate with everyone taking part in the event.

“The students also had the opportunity to share knowledge on the global stage as the Lim Kok Wing University has a mix of international students with different ideas on creativity.

“This is also in line with the titah of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, who highlighted the importance of a creative industry especially in globalisation to enhance our economic diversification,” said Haji Hasnul.
