CHAN Koo Boon couldn’t believe his luck when he grabbed the top prize of B$5,000 worth of Hua Ho shopping vouchers in Baiduri Bank’s Shop and Get Lucky Promotion organised in collaboration with Hua Ho SYMB in Tanjong Bunut.
The other top winners were Baiduri Cardholders Edward Lim Thian Soong and Phuah Bee Hong who went home with B$1,500 and B$3,000. Chan Koo Boon said between deep breaths that he had never won in a lucky draw, and this win had taken him by surprise. The prizes were drawn in over three rounds.
In Round 1, 28 shortlisted winners picked out an envelope containing either a prize or a chance to go on to the next round. 18 of them went on to the following round while the remaining 10 customers won B$500 worth of Hua Ho shopping vouchers each.
The prizes for Round 1 were presented by Michelle Lo, the Manager, Card Brand Relationship and Business Banking Marketing Support in Baiduri Bank. After a tense draw in rounds 2 and 3, participants went to the final round, while the remaining 15 winners each won B$750 worth of Hua Ho shopping vouchers.
The prizes for this round were presented by Aariz Patrick Ng, the Head, Branch Network Sales Management and Business Banking of Baiduri Bank.

In the nail-biting final round, the anxious three remaining participants were asked to pick an envelope each that will determine whether they will be bringing home B$5,000, B$3,000 or B$1,500 worth of shopping vouchers. The grand prizes were presented by Pengiran Azaleen bin Pengiran Dato Haji Mustapha, the Head of Retail Banking and Branch Network in Baiduri Bank and Benedict Low Soon Khiong, Manager of Hua Ho Tanjong Bunut.
In addition, 40 other winners also received consolation prizes of either a microwave oven or steam iron, which they can redeem at Hua Ho Manggis. All 68 winners were shortlisted from thousands of customers who paid for their purchases with their Baiduri Credit or Debit cards when shopping at a Hua Ho SYMB outlet during the Shop and Get Lucky Promotion from September 22 to October 31.
