THE Jefri Bolkiah Mosque committee in Kampong Batong, Mukim Pengkalan Batu, yesterday held a Muqaddam reading competition for Year 1 to Year 6 students. Thirty students took part in three categories.
Nurafiah binti Mohd Din triumphant was announced as the winner for the Muqaddam Iqra category 123.
Meanwhile, Mohd Walid bin Rosmin emerged as the winner for the Muqaddam 456 category and Md Akmal Abdullah bin Rosdi clinched the l-Quran Muratal category.
Prizes were presented by the Head of Imam of the mosque, Rozaimie bin Haji Bunal.
The competition was organised to find new talent and to occupy the students’ time especially during the current school break.
