HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday consented to receive Letters of Credence from 13 non-resident foreign envoys to the country.
The non-resident foreign envoys are Walid Al Hadid, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Jordan; Sergey Michev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria; Geoffrey Keating, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland; Carlos Ricardo Martins Ceglia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Brazil; Dr John Anton Subritzky, High Commissioner of New Zealand; Daniyar Sarekenov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Marcin Kubaik; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland; Aziria Abdelkader, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria; Vincent Guerend, Ambassador and the Head of Delegation of the European Union; Victor Hugo Echeverri Jaramillo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia; Dr Oumarou Amadou Sonrhai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Niger; Tumur Lkhagvadorj, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia and Niankoro Yeah Samake, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mali.

Following the ceremony, the monarch receive in audience the one newly appointed High Commissioner and 12 newly appointed Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
Also present at the audience were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Dato Paduka Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Dato Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof.
The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
