THE Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic Boys Secondary School (SMALHB) recently organised the ‘Minal Madrasah Ilal Masjid Programme’ for their students at the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque, Kampong Manggis Madang.
Participants are comprised of 47 hostel and non-hostel Pre-University 1 male students.
The programme began with a mass Maghrib prayer followed by a religious talk led by Haji Jupry bin Haji Hidup, the Mosque Officer from the Mosque Affairs Department.
The programme then continued with a mass Isyak prayer, a dinner and the presentation of token of appreciation and waqaf to the mosque. The participants then proceeded to recite verses from Al-Quran.
The students will then part-icipated in the Qiamulail where they woke up in the wee hours to perform Sunnat Iftitah, Sunnat Tahajjud and Sunnat Taubat prayers. They then performed a mass Subuh prayer, recited Surah Al-Kahfi, and then performed Dhuha prayer.

They also took part in an aerobics session followed by breakfast, and a cleaning campaign at the mosque compound.
The programme aims to strengthen the students’ acts of worship learned in school and give them the opportunity to be involved with the community in religious activities. It is also to encourage them to increase on team-work skills before they join the working environment.
