TWO officers from the Survey Department, Ministry of Development yesterday left for China to attend a workshop on the latest developments in surveying and mapping technologies running from November 15 to December 4, 2015 in Wuhan and Beijing.
Hajah Airena binti Haji Bakar and Nur Aliyan binti Abdul Hadi Lim were given a send-off by Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Chinese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, Fu Fengshan.
Fu Fengshan said, “We hope that they (two Bruneians) can share (their experience) with their counterparts from China and other countries so as to increase their mutual understanding.”
Jointly organised by the National Geomatics Center of China and Wuhan University, the workshop aims to improve the participants’ knowledge and understanding of surveying and mapping technologies, and enhance their professional capabilities.
