TO RAISE road safety awareness as well as to curb drunk driving and illegal activities during the approaching festival season, the Traffic Control and Investigation Department (JSKLL) carried out an OPS SEPADU operation.
As part of this, road blocks were set up in three locations around Bandar Seri Begawan last Monday evening.
During the operation, the department recorded 17 compound offences, among them included failure to paste road tax; licence plate measurements not in accordance with the law; usage of red lights in front of vehicle; and faulty licence plate lights.
Ten summons were issued for not having a valid driving licence; expired driving licence; installing darkened window tint; expired road tax; and not insuring the vehicle.
The operation involved 50 officers led by Inspector Aslin bin Masri, Assistant Administration and Operations Officer at JSKLL.
