FURNITURE shop Loft & Co held its grand opening yesterday while marking the occasion by announcing that they have become the sole distributor of French furniture brand, Ligne Roset.
Loft & Co celebrated its grand opening with the announcement of the partnership in a ceremony at Little Soho in Batu Bersurat, which saw the attendance of Loan Forgeron, French Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, among other invited guests.
Ligne Roset is a French modern furniture company that has over 200 stores and more than 1,000 retail distributors worldwide, and it now has a presence in Brunei through its partnership with Loft & Co.
Known for its artful collaboration with both established and up-and-coming talents in contemporary design, “Ligne Roset offers consumers an entire lifestyle in which to live both boldly and beautifully via its furniture collections and complementary decorative accessories, lighting, rugs, textiles and occassional items,” it was stated yesterday.
Speaking to the Weekend Bulletin, Yeoh Seok Kheng, the Managing Director of Loft & Co said, “We went with this brand because of the care they take to make each piece.”
“We wanted to partner with a brand that we would be proud to stand next to,” she added.
Attending yesterday’s ceremony for Ligne Roset was its Export Director, Bernard Vinson.
Speaking to the Weekend Bulletin he said, “We have been in the Asian market for more than 30 years, and what makes us different is that it is a family business that has existed since 1860.”
“We are a creative company that launches new designs every year like in the fashion industry, so we are no longer connected with purely furniture business but mostly with fashion business.”
He explained that, to be able to launch a new collection every year, they deal with 70 freelance designers coming from different parts of the world, namely Europe, the United States and Asia. This “enlarges the spectrum of our collection, and that’s why we are successful in so many different countries”.
“The network of Ligne Roset is now 700 outlets, and from these 700 outlets we have about 225 exclusive stores like this Ligne Roset Brunei Store in Loft & Co.”
“We have already sold to Brunei clients via Singapore, so they know us already. Now we are very privileged to be able to show our products directly in the Brunei market after so many years,” he shared.
In addition to the Ligne Roset products, Loft & Co also offers an extensive range of products from the Red Apple furniture brand.
