LADY luck was on Alvina Chung Sei Ing’s side yesterday as she drove away with a brand new MINI One worth around $40,000, the grand prize of the Baiduri Fabulous Promotion @ Mabohai Shopping Complex.
It was literally a dream-come-true situation for Alvina Chung, who said she had an intuition that she would win the grand prize in the lucky draw.
“I had a feeling that I will drive away with the MINI One today and it came true,” she told the Weekend Bulletin.
“I am shocked. This is the biggest prize I have ever won in a lucky draw,” said Alvina, who retired in June this year.
When asked about what she will do with the car, she replied, “I am thinking of selling it and will surely give some of the proceeds to charity.”
The much-anticipated final lucky draw consisted of three rounds.
Round one started with all the 18 winners drawing from a set of envelopes containing consolation prizes, or passes to move to the next round.

Only 11 managed to go to the second round, where they were required to pick from a bowl either a consolation prize or the ticket to the final round.
Four participants made it to the final draw where Alvina Chung managed to pick the box that contained the key to the brand new MINI One from the four boxes put on the table.
The second prize of a $300 cash voucher sponsored by Flexa went to Victor Edgar Keasberry and the third prize of a $300 gift hamper sponsored by L’Occitane was bagged by Goh Chee Ming.
The fourth prize of $300 worth of gift vouchers sponsored by Supa Save and GNC went to Lahoud Sleiman.
Pierre Imhof, the CEO of Baiduri Bank presented the key of the MINI One to Alvina and the prizes to the other finalists.
The consolation prizes were presented by Ti Eng Hui, Deputy CEO, and Pengiran Azaleen bin Pengiran Dato Haji Mustapha, Head of Retail Banking and Branch Network, of Baiduri Bank.
The month-long promotion rewarded customers who chose to use Baiduri Bank credit card or debit card to pay for their purchases at participating outlets at the Mabohai Shopping Complex from June to November 2015.
The participating outlets of the Baiduri Fabulous Promotion @ Mabohai Shopping Complex included Best Eastern, B.Gems Jewellery, Blitz, Bossini, Carousel Enterprise, Chicco, The Face Shop, FLEXA, GlobalArt, GNC, L’Occitane, Misato Japanese Restaurant, Movies for U, Nori Lifestyle, Paloma Store, Royce Chocolates, Savy’s Restaurant, Starbucks, Supa Save, Toys R Us and Vitaworld.
