THE Coffee Bean Brunei donated $3,000 to Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam yesterday in a ceremony at the Coffee Bean outlet in Mata-Mata.
Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Abdul Mun’im bin Pengiran Anak Haji Tahiruddin, Managing Director of PAR Food & Beverage presented the donation to Pusat Ehsan Member of Trustee, Haji Ahmad bin Haji Abdul Rahman.
The donation was part of the coffee franchise’s ‘Caring Cup’ programme, which was launched back in 2010 with the aim to give back and blend in with the community in the form of donations or engaging with the public.
The programme also worked with special needs students in supporting the vocational employment programme of Pusat Ehsan to expose students to actual learning experiences.
“We will continue to offer more opportunities to special needs individuals from Pusat Ehsan, as well as other NGOs. We are also working with KACA to hold various activities, while for ‘SMARTER Brunei’, we hope to create an avenue for them to sell their pastries and other products,” said Training Manager of Coffee Bean, Mohamad Fairuz Ibrahim.
The Coffee Bean is set to mark its 15th anniversary in August next year with various activities and special treats for customers.
