FIVE petanque athletes led by Vice-President of Brunei Petanque Federation (BPF), Haji Abdul Karim bin Haji Ahmad, and coach Somsak Juychunprasert, departed yesterday morning to participate in the five-day International HCMC Labour Culture Palace Open Petanque Championship 2015 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, which starts today.
The team will participate in the team triples event and Mazlan bin Haji Yahya will participate in the individual shooting event.
Present to bid farewell to the athletes at the Departure Hall of the Brunei International Airport was President of BPF, Ghani bin Dato Haji Ali.
