HUMAN capacity expansion within the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) continues to gain flight as five more of its personnel joined the ranks of military pilots in a ceremony yesterday that witnessed the generational evolution of the country’s air force might.
In an event that took place at the Rimba Airbase, Lieutenant (U) Muhammad Izdihar bin Haji Imran and Lieutenant (U) Mohammed Azhar bin Haji Mohd Mahathir who recently completed their flying training locally at No 73 Squadron,
Flying Training School along with Lieutenant (U) Muhammad Ali Saddiqin bin Haji A Murni, Lieutenant (U) Awangku Adri Dirdaus bin Pengiran Haji Rakawi and Lieutenant (U) Mohammad Syamim bin Roslan who completed their flying training in Australia were presented with their wings by RBAirF Commander Colonel (U) Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah.
Apart from family members and air force personnel, among those who attended included one of Brunei first helicopter pilots Dato Seri Laila Jasa Colonel (Rtd) Jocklin bin Kongpaw who served the country when Brunei was still under British protection.
Following the pilot wing presentation, the graduates will now proceed to further their operational flying career at No 1 Wing.
