THE Department of the Councils of State yester-day received a goodwill visit from the Ambassador of Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
Amphay Kindavong met with the Speaker of the Legislative Council (LegCo), YB Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib.
Also present were the Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar and Deputy Clerk to the Legislative Council Rose Aminah binti Haji Ismail as well as officers from the department.
The visit was aimed at strengthening the friendship and bilateral ties between the two countries.
