THE Kampong Pengkalan Batu Mosque received a new hearse, a wakaf from Hajah Latifah binti Pehin Penyurat Haji Awang Mohd Salleh.
The guest of honour in the event was Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).
Also present in the ceremony were the Village Head of Kampong Pengkalan Batu, officers from the Mosque Affairs Department under the MoRA, the Head Imam and the mosque committee members of the Kampong Pengkalan Batu Mosque.
The ceremony was held in the afternoon after Friday prayers in the hearse parking space of the mosque. It began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat.
The mock key of the vehicle was presented by the guest of honour to the Head Imam of Kampong Pengkalan Batu Mosque, Pengiran Saiful Khairul Hakimin bin Pengiran Liudin.
The ceremony ended with a tour for Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz and the presentation of honorary gifts to the guest of honour.
