THE Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (Perbadanan TAIB) yesterday held a Sunnat Hajat prayer and Doa Kesyukuran in conjunction with the 24th anniversary of its establishment. The ceremony took place at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kg Jerudong.
Present as the guest of honour at the event was Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman in his capacity as the Advisor to Perbadanan TAIB Board of Directors.
Also present was Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs in his capacity as the Chairman of Perbadanan TAIB Board of Directors.
The ceremony was attended by more than 250 employees of Perbadanan TAIB and its subsidiaries, Insurans Islam TAIB Sdn Bhd and Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd including Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources as the Acting Managing Director of Perbadanan TAIB, board members as well as the Syariah Advisory Committee members.

At the ceremony, the Minister of Religious Affairs presented a Waqaf or endowment from Perbadanan TAIB to representative of Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in the form of Surah Yaasiin and a photocopy machine.
Perbadanan TAIB was established on September 29, 1991 and it was the first Islamic financial institution to provide financial products and services in accordance with Syariah principles.
