A TOTAL of 47 Primary 6 students from the Pulaie Religious School who completed their Al-Quran studies were celebrated in a
Khatam Al-Quran ceremony yesterday at the Pulaie Primary School’s hall.
The event’s guest of honour was Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Ya’akub, the Village Head of Kg Pancha Delima/Anggerek Desa.
The ceremony began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour, which was followed by a recitation of verses from Surah Ad-Dhuha to Surah Al-Masad by the students.
The Takhtim recitation was carried out by the school’s Primary 4 and Primary 5 female students.
Awang Muhammad Abdul Akid bin Awang Hasri, one of the celebrated students, then recited the Doa Khatam.
This was followed by a Dikir Asyrakal performance.
The guest of honour then proceeded to dab scented flower on participants’ hands and also presented them with their certificates.
The event then concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the guest of honour and a Doa Selamat recited by Cikgu Rahimi bin Haji Timbang.
Also present yesterday were principals and officers from the Islamic Studies Department, as well as the students’ parents.
