A TOTAL of 85 recipients from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) were awarded Long Service Medals (PKL) yesterday, in a ceremony at the Ministry in Jalan Kebangsaan.
Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, presented the medals to the recipients, in conjunction with the 68th and 69th birthdays for the years 2014 and 2015, of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The PKL award is an acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication of government officers and staff members, which in turn provides the catalyst for Vision 2035.
Also present at the award ceremony was Dato Paduka Dr Haji Affendy bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin and Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, the Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, together with senior officers and staff members.
