DURING an operation by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) to curb illegal racing, three vehicles were found with expired road tax, another three with illegal modification and a driver believed to be driving under the influence.

The operation – held from 11.30pm Saturday to 4am Sunday – aimed to ensure public safety at the main road of the Tanah Jambu area, Tungku Link Highway and along the Katok ‘B’ Highway. The operation was carried out by officers and personnel from Brunei-Muara District Police and Berakas Police Station.

The operation in curbing illegal racing will continue to be carried out to ensure public safety and prevent the misuse of public roads as well as to maintain the peace for the residents living within the affected areas.
