FOUR Fire and Rescue Department personnel are currently in Singapore to take part in the Global Firefighters and Paramedics Challenge 2015 which will be held on November 13 until 14.
It will take place at Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The personnel are from Operation ‘F’ of the Fire and Rescue Department consisting of Senior Fireman Saini bin Gapor as the leader, Md Fateen Aqilah bin Abdul Rahman, Awangku Suhawadi bin Pengiran Matassan and Awangku Saiful Khairul Zulhelmey bin Pengiran Ludin.
A flag handover ceremony was held on November 8.
Present during the handover was the Director of Fire and Rescue Department, Yahya bin Haji Abdul Rahman, senior officers and personnel of Operation ‘F’ of the department.

Operation ‘F’ emerged as the champions at the recent Fire Skills Competition which was participated by nine teams from four districts.
Besides taking part in the challenge, Fire and Rescue Department personnel are also participating in the International Elite Rescuers Exchange Workshop and Parade.
This is the eight time the department is taking part in the world skills competition participated by 50 nations.
The aims are to inculcate the spirit of teamwork and unity, to broaden networking, exchange knowledge and skills and to showcase the participants’ skills in the spirit of competition.
