THE Jerudong Park (JP) Mini-Amphitheatre erupted with screaming fans when local teenage singer Aziz Harun performed live last night reviving the “hay-day” atmosphere back to Jerudong Park Playground.
Some 500 people gathered as early at 7pm to catch the young and talented singer performing his latest single and his smooth renditions of some his favourites hits. Among them include ‘Assalamualaikum’, ‘Never Gonna Stop’, ‘Peace and Harmony’ and his critically acclaimed hit single ‘Senyum’ which was produced by Faizal Tahir.
Prior to his performance, the crowd was entertained by Syafiq, a 16-year-old singer who performed covers from Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran. This was followed by a performance by Tharwana Harun, elder sister of Aziz Harun belting out her powerful vocals much to the delight of the audience.
The 17-year-old singer also shared the stage while playing the organs with Method 6, a local acapella group which blew the crowd away with their talented vocals and upbeat beat-boxing skills.
The mini-concert concluded with a ‘meet-and-greet’ session whereby Aziz Harun was swarmed with fans, taking selfies and signing autographs.
According to the management of Jerudong Park Playground, this would be the six live performance by a local artist held at the JP Mini-Amphitheatre and last night mini-concert by Aziz Harun attracted the largest crowed.
The Jerudong Park Playground is currently promoting its ‘End-Of-Year Special’ being held from December 1 to December 31.
