PROTRACTED rainfall in Brunei Darussalam is also affecting Tutong District, but only at a minimum level, with at least one resident reported of having to remove mud and silt from his house.
Affected areas within the district include Sungai Damuan in Kampong Kupang, Kampong Sinaut and Kampong Batang Mitus.
A landslide was reported in Kampong Kupang.
Meanwhile, a house belonging to Zainal bin Abdullah in Kampong Kebia was seriously damaged, including the furniture, cupboards and beds.
A total of 15 members from the Tutong District Volunteers Group (SUKA) led by Mohd Amir bin Haji Umarali, assisted Zainal and his family during the extensive clean-up of their house, yesterday.
