PERSONNEL from the Temburong Police District conducted a clean-up at the Semamang Cemetery in Pekan Bangar on Wednesday, in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Police Force’s (RBPF) 95th anniversary, a statement stated.
Following the activity, a Tahlil and recitation of Surah Yaasiin was held to offer blessings to the departed. The prayers were led by Major (Rtd) Ampuan Hussain bin Ampuan Mattahir @ Awang, the Village Head of Kampong Menengah in his capacity as the Chairman of the Village Consultative Council for Kampong Menengah/Sungai Tanit/Sungai Suluk/Sungai Tanam.
Present during the activity was the Assistant Commanding Officer of Bangar Police Station, Inspector Reynold @ Daniell Chin, along with personnel from the police station and the Temburong District Police Headquarters.
Haji Jainih @Zaini bin Haji Tahir, Village Head of Kampung Batang Tuau, cum Chairman of the Village Consultative Council for Kampong Batang Tuau/Seri Tanjong Belayang was also present. Also taking part in the activity were volunteers from the Temburong Boys Scout and police personnel from the Reserve Company ‘C’ of the Temburong District.
