SENIOR officials and staff occupying government flats and barracks under the Survey Department from all four districts underwent a fire prevention briefing and training yesterday at the Indera Pahlawan Hall, Ministry of Development Training Centre.
The briefing was organised by the Survey Department of the Ministry of Development in collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Department. The briefing was headed by Awangku Mohd Ali Rahman bin Pengiran Haji Salleh, Station Officer of the Fire and Rescue Department.
Present as guest of honour was Acting Deputy Surveyor General, Dr Hajah Mas Suriaia Wati binti Haji Abdul Hamid.
In her speech, Dr Hajah Mas Suriaia Wati advised those in attendance to understand preventive measures and ensure safety in case of any fire outbreaks. The briefing also educated the residents on the mechanisms of fire, how to identify and operate fire safety equipment and evacuation procedures.
