THICK fog greeted commuters early yesterday morning causing slight traffic build up as drivers drove with extra care amid low visibility.
Motorists going to work and sending their children to schools were seen switching on their front lights early in the day.
The Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department said fog and mist conditions had been observed over some parts of Brunei Darussalam in the early morning hours yesterday.
The Brunei Meteorological Observation Station at the Brunei International Airport had observed horizontal visibility reduced to eight kilometres due to the mist.
In view of this, the department advised motorists to drive with caution in the likelihood of mist and fog formations that can reduce the visibility on roads.
The department added that they will continue to monitor the weather situation and will issue appropriate weather advisories or warnings as and when necessary.
