Prior to the accreditation, TWI spent two months auditing the campus and found that it is ‘perfect’ as stated by Mohamed Darus bin Taib, Director of TWI Technology (SE Asia) Sdn Bhd.
“We are now here to design a curriculum with the campus and when it comes to a point where it is ready to be practised. Anyone who is enrolled into the course will be taking two exams,” added Mohamed Darus.
In a speech, Akandi bin Haji Abdul Razak, Principal of IBTE SVSB campus, stated that as a certified TWI training centre, IBTE SVSB can offer welding courses with the added advantage of leveraging onto any TWI advancement, which can further enhance the training experience. “IBTE SVSB campus can also be the training hub for professionals from industries who seek qualified certification in areas such as 3G and 6G welding,” added the Principal.
Among those who were present at the event were deputy CEOs, divisional directors, campus principals and instructors of IBTE.
